2.8.2. Check of a gap in the conrod bearing

NOTE
An inspection is carried out the tool for measurement of gaps in sliding bearings.

Note the adjusting provision of a cover of the conrod bearing.
Disconnect inserts of the conrod bearing and a cover of the conrod bearing, having turned off 2 bolts of fastening.
Measure a gap in the conrod bearing, using the tool for measurement of gaps in sliding bearings (a plastic wire).

NOTE
The tool for measurement of gaps in bearings of sliding is available to various ranges of measurements.

Cut off a wire so that its length corresponded to width of the conrod bearing.
Lay a wire along an axis between a radical neck of a bent shaft of the conrod bearing and an insert of the conrod bearing.
Establish a cover of the conrod bearing

NOTE
That the wire did not break at removal of a cover of the conrod bearing, remove jellied lubricant from a conrod neck of a bent shaft and slightly grease an insert of the conrod bearing – do not turn a bent shaft.

Tighten 2 bolts the moment of 13 N · m tighten on +60 ° and +15 °.
Uncover the conrod bearing, turn off 2 bolts.

ATTENTION
Do not confuse decimal and metric information of scale of measurement.

Measure width of the flattened-out site of a plastic wire by means of measuring scale.
Admissible gap in the conrod bearing: from 0,013 mm to 0,061 mm.
Establish an insert of the conrod bearing and a cover of the conrod bearing.
Clear a conrod neck of a bent shaft of the bearing and an insert of the conrod bearing.
Slightly grease inserts of the conrod bearing.
Tighten 2 bolts the moment of 13 N · m also tighten on +60 ° and +15 °.

ATTENTION
Always use bolts of M6,5. Use new bolts.
