The key is a component of electronic system of blocking of launch of the engine. The spare keys ordered from Opel guarantee trouble-free functioning of electronic blocking of launch of the engine.

If the signaling device blinks at the included ignition, the system means it is faulty and the engine cannot be started. In this case follows switch off ignition and include anew.

If the signaling device continues to blink, try to start the engine a spare key and ask for the help on car repair shop.

If the signaling device burns after launch of the engine, means in the electronic equipment of the engine or to the automatic transmission there was a malfunction.

NOTE The system of blocking of launch of the engine does not lock a door therefore after an exit from the car always lock it and turn on the device of the anticreeping alarm system. The data of the car connected with safety therefore the passport has to are provided in the passport of the car you are stored in the reliable place out of the car.

The device of remote control is built in a key.

The device operates the central locking device, the mechanical anti-theft device and the device of the anticreeping alarm system.

The device of remote control has range of action about 3 m. Surrounding conditions can influence range of action. For use of the device direct the device of remote control towards the car.

It is necessary to handle with the device of remote control with care, not to subject to its influence of moisture and high temperature, to avoid use needlessly.

Indication of functioning is carried out by short-term inclusion of an emergency light signal.

If the control of the central locking device by means of the device of remote control is impossible, the cause of defect can consist in the following:

– range of operation of the device of remote control is exceeded;

– too low voltage of the battery of the device of remote control (about replacement of the battery see further);

– the repeated, following one by one attempts of use of the device of remote control outside range of reception of the car (for example, the distance to the car is too big that leads to the fact that the device of remote control ceases to be distinguished) – it is necessary to synchronize the device of remote control;

– the overload of the central locking device as a result of frequent, repeated influences, device power supply quickly is interrupted;

– imposing of radio waves due to existence of external radio devices of high power.

For elimination of malfunction it is recommended to address on the station of technical tinning.

If range of operation of the device of remote control decreases, it is necessary immediately replace the battery.

For this purpose separate the device of remote control from a key, as shown in the drawing.

In a head of a key there is a transponder of system of blocking of launch of the engine. You watch that it was not damaged or lost.

Insert the screw-driver and, slightly turning it, open the device of remote control, see fig. above.

Open the device of remote control. Take the battery by means of the screw-driver. Replace the battery, observing polarity. Close the device of remote control and latch. Insert it into a key and latch.

Carry out replacement of the battery within 3 min., otherwise repeated synchronization of the device of remote control is required.

At violation of functioning it is necessary to synchronize the remote control unit.

Include ignition, during the 30th the system will be is in the synchronization mode.

Quickly press keys on the device of remote control inserted into the ignition lock,

Synchronization is confirmed by single locking and unlocking of the central locking device.

Blocking by means of the mechanical anti-theft device

All doors have to be closed. Not later, than through 10 from later locking, repeatedly press a key of the device of remote control.

Clamps of all doors will be blocked from the opening moment.

If ignition joined, it is necessary to open and close the driver's door that the car could be blocked.

Do not block if in the car there are people. Unblocking is impossible from within.

For unlocking press a key (see the drawing) devices of remote control or extend a clamp on the driver's door.

At the switched-on mechanical anti-theft device to unlock doors, having extended a clamp, it is impossible.

NOTE Pressing of a clamp of an open door of the driver for blocking from locking is impossible. In case of incorrectly closed driver's door the central locking device after locking immediately opens again.

Through 30 from later unlocking by means of the device of remote control of a door are automatically locked if any door was not open.

For locking of doors from within (for example to prevent penetration into salon of strangers outside) follows press a clamp the driver's doors.

The locked doors at accident open automatically, in cases of a certain weight of accident (for assistance outside) – provided that ignition is not switched off.

On the Combo cars: if when locking the car the sliding door is still open, it will be locked only in several seconds after closing.

On cars with electronic control by window regulators of glass of forward doors it is possible to close outside: for this purpose hold pressed a key (see the drawing) on the device of remote control until glasses are not closed.

At too frequent, repeated influence power supply of the central locking device will be quickly interrupted.

The system is protected by a safety lock in a box of safety locks.
