2.8.1. Check of a gap in the conrod bearing

Measurement
Establish a cover of the conrod bearing (3) with inserts of the conrod bearing (2) on a rod.

NOTE
Do not change a cover of the conrod bearing and a rod during installation, and provide purity of the contacting surfaces

NOTE
Old bolts can be reused for check.

Tighten 2 bolts the moment of 13 N · m, then tighten on +60 ° +15 °.
Diameter of a rod of the center is measured with an internal micrometer in positions I, II, and arithmetically. Formula and example of calculation of diameter of the conrod bearing: I + II + III.
I – 43, 026 mm.
II – 43, 027 mm.
III – 43, 031 mm.
129,084 mm: 3 = 43,028 mm.
Average internal diameter of the conrod bearing – 43,028 mm.
Diameter of a neck of a shaft of the conrod bearing is measured by an external micrometer in positions I, and II. A formula and an example for calculation of diameter of a neck of a shaft of the conrod bearing:
I + II/2;
I – 42,977 mm + II – 42,985 mm.
85,962 mm: 2 = 42,981 mm.
Average diameter of a neck of a shaft of the conrod bearing – 42,981 mm.
Define a gap in the conrod bearing, using the average internal diameter of the conrod bearing and average diameter of a neck of a shaft of the conrod bearing.
Average internal diameter of the conrod bearing: 4,028 mm.
Average diameter of a neck of a shaft of the conrod bearing: 2,981 mm.
Gap in the conrod bearing: 0,047 mm
The settlement gap in the conrod bearing is equal to 0,047 mm in this example. The admissible gap of the conrod bearing is equal from 0,013 mm to 0,061 mm.
